Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
रामः तु सह सौमित्रिः सुतीक्ष्णेन अभिपूजितः ।
परिणाम्य निशाम् तत्र प्रभाते प्रत्यबुध्यत ॥ ॥३-८-१॥
Rāmaḥ tu saha saumitriḥ sutīkṣṇena abhipūjitaḥ । pariṇāmya niśām tatra prabhāte pratyabudhyata ॥ ॥3-8-1॥
Translation
Rama, along with the son of Sumitra (Lakshmana), having been well-honored by Sutikshna, passed the night there and woke up at dawn.

सुतीक्ष्ण द्वारा भली-भांति पूजित (सत्कृत) राम और सुमित्रानंदन (लक्ष्मण) ने वहाँ रात्रि बिताई और प्रभात काल में जागे।
English Commentary
This verse marks the beginning of Sarga 8. The word 'abhipujitah' (worshipped/honored) implies that the sage treated his guests with the reverence usually reserved for deities. 'Prabhate pratyabudhyata' (woke up at dawn) highlights the strict discipline of the exiles. Waking up during the Brahma-muhurta (pre-dawn hours) allows one to synchronize with nature's rhythm, which is crucial for spiritual life. This verse serves as a transition from the rest of the night to the activity of the day. The peaceful awakening suggests that the sage's protection provided a stress-free environment, recharging them for the journey ahead.
