Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
नित्यम् शुचि मतिः सौम्य चर धर्मम् तपो वने ।
सर्वम् हि विदितम् तुभ्यम् त्रैलोक्यम् अपि तत्त्वतः ॥३-९-३२॥
nityam śuci matiḥ saumya cara dharmam tapo vane |
sarvam hi viditam tubhyam trailokyam api tattvataḥ ॥3-9-32॥
Translation
O Gentle One! With a mind always pure, practice Dharma in this forest of penance. For indeed, everything in the three worlds is known to you in reality.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे सौम्य! आप नित्य पवित्र बुद्धि रखकर तपोवन में धर्म का ही आचरण करें। (मैं आपको क्या सिखाऊँ?) आपको तो तीनों लोकों का सब कुछ यथार्थ रूप (तत्त्वतः) से ज्ञात है।
English Commentary
Concluding her counsel, Sita acknowledges Rama's omniscience. The address 'Saumya' (Gentle One) reflects her deep affection. She implores him to keep his mind 'shuchi' (pure), contrasting it with the 'raudra' (fierce) nature of a warrior. By stating that Rama knows the reality of the three worlds, she rebalances the dynamic—clarifying that her speech was an expression of concern, not a lecture from a superior. This demonstrates her complete faith in Rama's wisdom, even after having rigorously challenged his current course of action.

अपने उपदेश को समाप्त करते हुए सीता जी श्रीराम की सर्वज्ञता को स्वीकार करती हैं। 'सौम्य' संबोधन उनके प्रेम और कोमलता को दर्शाता है। वे श्रीराम से अनुरोध करती हैं कि उनकी बुद्धि 'शुचि' (पवित्र) रहे, न कि 'रौद्र' (हिंसक)। अंतिम चरण में वे अपनी मर्यादा को संतुलित करती हैं—यह कहकर कि श्रीराम स्वयं सब जानते हैं, वे यह संकेत देती हैं कि उनका भाषण उपदेश नहीं, बल्कि उनके मन के उद्गार थे। यह पत्नी द्वारा पति के विवेक पर पूर्ण विश्वास का परिचायक है, भले ही उन्होंने अभी-अभी उनकी आलोचना की हो।
