बभूव परमप्रीता सिद्धिं प्राप्येव मन्थरा ।

English Commentary
Manthara’s supreme delight ('paramaprītā') marks her victory. She knows her manipulation has succeeded. On the other hand, Kaikeyi is now fully embodied as 'ruṣitā' (the angry one). She has suppressed her natural gentleness. The phrase 'samyakkṛtvā viniścayam' (having made a firm determination) indicates there is no turning back. Kaikeyi is locked onto her target, ready to execute the drama of the Chamber of Wrath with conviction.

मंथरा की खुशी ('परमप्रीता') उसकी जीत को दर्शाती है। उसे पता है कि उसका तीर निशाने पर लगा है। दूसरी तरफ कैकेयी अब 'रुषिता' (क्रोधित) अवस्था में है। उसने अपने मन की कोमलता को पूरी तरह दबा दिया है। 'सम्यक्कृत्वा विनिश्चयम्' (भली-भांति निश्चय करके) यह बताता है कि अब पीछे हटने की कोई गुंजाइश नहीं है। कैकेयी अब पूरी तरह से 'कोपभवन' के नाटक के लिए तैयार है।
