Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
कच्चिन्न तर्कैर्युक्त्या वा ये चाप्यपरिकीर्तिता: ।
त्वया वा वा ऽमात्यैर्बुध्यते तात मन्त्रितम् ॥ ॥२-१००-२२॥
Kaccinna tarkairyuktyā vā ye cāpyaparikīrtitāḥ । Tvayā vā vā 'mātyairbudhyate tāta mantritam ॥ ॥2-100-22॥
Translation
Oh dear one, I hope that the counsels kept secret (undeclared) by you or your ministers are not discovered by others through logic or inference.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे तात! कहीं ऐसा तो नहीं कि तुम्हारे या तुम्हारे मंत्रियों द्वारा गुप्त रखे गए (अपरिकीर्तिता:) मन्त्र (रहस्य) को दूसरे लोग तर्क और युक्ति से जान लेते हैं?
English Commentary
This implies the need for counter-intelligence and poker-faced diplomacy. Even if no one speaks, intelligent adversaries use tarka (logic) and yukti (inference) to deduce plans from observable patterns (like troop movements, stockpiling, or mood changes). Rama warns Bharata that true secrecy means masking these indicators so that even logical deduction fails to reveal the state secrets (mantritam). The King and his cabinet must be inscrutable, giving away no clues that could be pieced together by analytical enemies.

गोपनीयता केवल छिपाने में नहीं, बल्कि व्यवहार में भी होनी चाहिए। शत्रु केवल जासूसों से नहीं, बल्कि 'तर्क' और 'युक्ति' (Inference/Logic) से भी राजा की योजनाओं का अनुमान लगा सकते हैं। जैसे—सेना का जमावड़ा देखकर युद्ध का अनुमान लगाना। राम सावधान कर रहे हैं कि राजा और मंत्रियों का व्यवहार इतना सामान्य और नियंत्रित होना चाहिए कि कोई बुद्धिमान शत्रु भी 'तर्क' से यह न जान सके कि उनके मन में क्या चल रहा है। यह 'कूटनीति' का बहुत सूक्ष्म स्तर है।
