कच्चिद्दर्शयसे नित्यं मनुष्याणां विभूषितम् ।
उत्थायोत्थाय पूर्वाह्णे राजपुत्र महापथे ॥ ॥२-१००-५२॥
Kacciddarśayase nityaṃ manuṣyāṇāṃ vibhūṣitam । Utthāyotthāya pūrvāhṇe rājaputra mahāpathe ॥ ॥2-100-52॥
Translation
O Prince, do you show yourself, fully adorned, to the people on the main road (royal highway) every morning after rising?

हे राजपुत्र! क्या तुम प्रतिदिन प्रातःकाल सोकर उठने के बाद, वस्त्राभूषणों से सुसज्जित होकर राजमार्ग पर प्रजा को अपना दर्शन देते हो?
English Commentary
This verse underscores the importance of the King's visibility and accessibility. Rama advises Bharata to appear publicly (darśayase) every morning, fully regaled (vibhūṣitam). Appearing 'adorned' is psychological warfare; it projects health, wealth, and stability to the masses. By appearing on the Mahapatha (main highway), the King ensures he is not an abstract entity isolated in a fortress but a tangible guardian. This daily ritual assures the subjects that the King is active, healthy, and in charge, thereby preventing political instability and reassuring the populace.

यह श्लोक 'जनसंपर्क' और राजा की दृश्यता (visibility) के महत्व को बताता है। राम निर्देश देते हैं कि राजा को अपने महलों में छिपा नहीं रहना चाहिए। 'विभूषितम्' (सज-धज कर) का अर्थ है कि राजा को अपने ऐश्वर्य और तेज के साथ प्रस्तुत होना चाहिए ताकि प्रजा में आत्मविश्वास और सुरक्षा की भावना बनी रहे। 'महापथे' (राजमार्ग) पर दर्शन देने से सामान्य जनता को अपने राजा तक पहुँचने का और उसे प्रत्यक्ष देखने का अवसर मिलता है। यह प्रजा और राजा के बीच के भावनात्मक संबंध को मजबूत करता है और अफवाहों को रोकता है।
