एतत्ते राजशार्दूल विमलं तोयमक्षयम् ।
पितृलोकगतस्याद्य मद्दत्तमुपतिष्ठतु ॥ ॥२-१०२-२७॥
Etatte rājaśārdūla vimalaṃ toyamakṣayam । Pitṛlokagatasyādya maddattamupatiṣṭhatu ॥ ॥2-102-27॥
Translation
"O Tiger among Kings! May this pure and imperishable water, offered by me today, reach you who have gone to the abode of ancestors."

"हे राजशार्दूल (राजाओं में श्रेष्ठ)! पितृलोक में गए हुए आपको, मेरे द्वारा दिया गया यह निर्मल और अक्षय जल आज प्राप्त हो।"
English Commentary
This is the consecration verse. Rama addresses his father with the heroic epithet 'Rajashardula' (Tiger among Kings), honoring his martial legacy even in death. He prays that the water becomes 'akshayam'—imperishable and eternally satisfying—for his father in 'Pitriloka' (the realm of ancestors). The theological significance here is immense; it is believed that offerings made by the son specifically carry the potency to sustain the ancestors. Rama’s prayer is that his specific offering ('maddattam') finds its target, fulfilling his final duty to the physical form of his father.
