तेन शब्देन वित्रस्तैराकाशं पक्षिभिर्वृतम् ।
मनुष्यैरावृता भूमिरुभयं प्रबभौ तदा ॥ ॥२-१०२-४४॥
Tena śabdena vitrastairākāśaṃ pakṣibhirvṛtam । Manuṣyairāvṛtā bhūmirubhayaṃ prababhau tadā ॥ ॥2-102-44॥
Translation
The sky was covered with birds frightened by that sound, and the earth was covered with men; both appeared resplendent at that time.

उस शब्द से डरे हुए पक्षियों से आकाश ढक गया और मनुष्यों से पृथ्वी ढक गई; उस समय दोनों (आकाश और पृथ्वी) ही शोभायमान हो रहे थे।
English Commentary
The sarga creates a striking visual tableau to conclude this sequence. The vertical space is filled: the sky is choked with panicked birds ('pakshibhirvritam'), and the ground is carpeted with rushing humans ('manushyairavrita'). The phrase 'prababhau' (shone forth/looked resplendent) implies a strange, chaotic beauty in this saturation of space. It juxtaposes the flight of nature with the invasion of humanity. The verse effectively captures the total domination of the environment by this momentous event—the clash of the city and the forest.

यह सर्ग का एक और दृश्यात्मक (visual) शिखर है। नीचे धरती पर अनगिनत मनुष्य हैं, और ऊपर आकाश में अनगिनत भयभीत पक्षी। कवि कहते हैं 'उभयं प्रबभौ' (दोनों सुशोभित हो रहे थे)। यह सौंदर्य अराजकता के बीच का है। मनुष्यों की भीड़ और पक्षियों के झुंड ने रिक्त स्थान को भर दिया है। यह दृश्य महाकाव्य के पैमाने (epic scale) को दर्शाता है—एक ओर पूरी अयोध्या वन में उमड़ आई है, दूसरी ओर वन के जीव विस्थापित हो गए हैं। यह श्लोक मिलन की आतुरता और उससे उत्पन्न विष्फोटक ऊर्जा का समापन करता है।
