न दोषं त्वयि पश्यामि सूक्ष्ममप्यरिसूदन ।
न चापि जननीं बाल्यात्त्वं विगर्हितुमर्हसि ॥ ॥२-१०४-१७॥
Na dosham tvayi pashyami sukshmamapyarisudana |
Na chapi jananim balyattvam vigarhitumarhasi ॥2-104-17॥
Translation
O slayer of enemies, I do not see even the slightest fault in you. However, you too must not blame your mother out of childishness.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे शत्रुसूदन! मैं तुममें सूक्ष्म (थोड़ा) सा भी दोष नहीं देखता। परन्तु तुम्हें भी बचपन (अज्ञान/चंचलता) के कारण अपनी माता की निंदा नहीं करनी चाहिए।
English Commentary
Rama delivers a profound moral instruction here. While absolving Bharata of all guilt ("not even the slightest fault"), he simultaneously reprimands him for criticizing Kaikeyi. Rama labels Bharata's anger towards his mother as balyat (childishness or immaturity). This implies that judging a parent's actions, which serve as the vehicle for destiny or truth, shows a lack of spiritual maturity. Rama demonstrates extraordinary magnanimity by defending the very woman who exiled him, insisting that the hierarchy of respect for a mother stands firm regardless of her actions.

श्रीराम यहाँ दो महत्वपूर्ण बातें कहते हैं। पहले, वे पुन: पुष्टि करते हैं कि भरत पूर्णतः निर्दोष हैं। दूसरे, वे भरत को एक कड़ी चेतावनी देते हैं—माता कैकेयी की निंदा न करना। श्रीराम इसे 'बाल्यात' (बचपन या अपरिपक्वता) कहते हैं, जिसका अर्थ है कि बड़ों के कार्यों और निर्णयों के पीछे के गूढ़ कारणों (या विधि के विधान) को न समझकर उनकी आलोचना करना अज्ञानता है। श्रीराम का यह दृष्टिकोण अद्भुत है; वे स्वयं वनवास भोग रहे हैं, फिर भी अपनी सौतेली माँ के सम्मान की रक्षा कर रहे हैं और भरत को मातृ-भक्ति का पाठ पढ़ा रहे हैं।
