यदब्रवीन्मां नरलोकसत्कृत: पिता महात्मा विबुधाधिपोपम: ।
तदेव मन्ये परमात्मनो हितं न सर्वलोकेश्वरभावमप्यहम् ॥ ॥२-१०४-२७॥
Yadabravinmam naralokasatkritah pita mahatma vibudhadhipopamah |
Tadeva manye paramatmano hitam na sarvalokeshvarabhavamapyaham ॥2-104-27॥
Translation
What the high-souled father, honored by the world and equal to the Lord of Gods (Indra), said to me—that alone I consider to be of supreme benefit to my soul, not even the lordship of all the worlds.
हिंदी अनुवाद
देवराज इन्द्र के समान तेजस्वी, लोकों में सम्मानित महात्मा पिता ने मुझसे जो कहा है, मैं उसी को अपने लिए परम हितकारी मानता हूँ, सम्पूर्ण लोकों के स्वामित्व (राज्य) को नहीं।
English Commentary
Rama concludes his argument with a powerful statement of values. He weighs the command of his father against the lordship of the entire universe (sarvalokeshvarabhavam) and finds the former superior. Comparing Dasharatha to Indra (Vibudhadhipa), Rama emphasizes that the spiritual merit and personal integrity gained by obeying such a father far outweigh any material power. This declaration defines Rama's character: he is not tempted by power because he defines "benefit" (hitam) not as political gain, but as adherence to Truth and Dharma.

यह इस सर्ग का अंतिम और निर्णायक श्लोक है। श्रीराम अपने मूल्यों की घोषणा करते हैं। उनके लिए पिता का वचन 'परम हित' है। वे तुलना करते हैं: एक तरफ तीनों लोकों का राज्य ('सर्वलोकेश्वरभाव') है और दूसरी तरफ पिता की आज्ञा पालन (सत्य) है। राम स्पष्ट करते हैं कि वे सत्य को चुनेंगे। यहाँ 'आत्मनो हितं' (आत्मा का हित) महत्वपूर्ण है; राम जानते हैं कि राज्य से भौतिक सुख मिल सकता है, लेकिन पिता की आज्ञा पालन से जो आध्यात्मिक संतोष और धर्म की रक्षा होगी, वह उससे कहीं श्रेष्ठ है।
