त्येवमप्यनन्तयोगाध्यायः कर्तुं मय्यनन्तसङ्कल्प्यत्।
॥२-१०४-८॥
Ty evam apy ananta-yogādhyāyaḥ kartum mayy ananta-saṅkalpyata। ॥2-104-8॥
Translation
"You ought to bestow your grace upon me, who am your servant. O King! Get yourself consecrated on the throne this very day, just like Maghavan (Indra)."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"मैं आपका दास हूँ (दासभूतस्य), मुझ पर आप कृपा करें। हे नृप! आप आज ही राज्य पर अपना अभिषेक करवाएं, जैसे इन्द्र (मघवा) का हुआ था।"
English Commentary
Following the tragic news, Bharata makes his plea. He humbles himself completely, calling himself a 'dāsa' (servant/slave) rather than a brother, stripping himself of any claim to the throne. His request is urgent: 'abhiṣiñcasva cādyaiva' (be anointed this very day). He addresses Rama as 'Nṛpa' (King), refusing to acknowledge the exile's validity. The comparison to 'Maghavan' (Indra) is significant; just as Indra is the rightful king of gods despite any temporary setbacks, Rama is the rightful king of Ayodhya.

शोक समाचार देने के तुरंत बाद भरत अपने आगमन का उद्देश्य बताते हैं—राम को वापस ले जाना। वे स्वयं को राम का भाई नहीं, 'दास' (दासभूतस्य) कहते हैं, जो पूर्ण समर्पण का सूचक है। 'अभिषिञ्चस्व अद्यैव' (आज ही अभिषेक करें) में भरत की उतावली दिखती है; वे एक पल भी राज्य को बिना राजा के नहीं रखना चाहते। राम को 'नृप' (राजा) कहकर संबोधित करना बताता है कि भरत राम को ही एकमात्र वैध राजा मानते हैं। इन्द्र (मघवा) की उपमा राम के ऐश्वर्य और अधिकार को पुनर्स्थापित करने के लिए है।
