रजन्यां सुप्रभातायां भ्रातरस्ते सुहृद्वृता: ।
मन्दाकिन्यां हुतं जप्यं कृत्वा राममुपागमन् ॥ ॥२-१०५-२॥
Rajanyam suprabhatayam bhrataraste suhridvritah |
Mandakinyam hutam japyam kritva ramamupagaman ॥2-105-2॥
Translation
When the night had passed and a beautiful dawn broke, those brothers, accompanied by friends, performed their oblations and prayers in the Mandakini and approached Rama.

रात्रि बीतने पर जब सुंदर प्रभात हुआ, तब वे भाई अपने मित्रों सहित मंदाकिनी नदी में स्नान, हवन और जप करके श्रीराम के पास आए।
English Commentary
A new day begins. The term suprabhatayam suggests a clear, bright morning, contrasting with the gloomy night. The adherence to ritual (hutam japyam - oblations and chanting) even in the midst of a crisis underscores the disciplined character of the Ikshvaku princes. Cleansed and spiritually centered after bathing in the Mandakini, Bharata and his entourage approach Rama again. This signals the start of a new round of negotiations, where Bharata will try a different tactic.
