Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
स स्वस्थो भव माशोचीर्यात्वा चावस तां पुरीम् ।
तथा पित्रा नियुक्तो ऽसि वशिना वदतां वर ॥२-१०५-४०॥
sa svastho bhava māśocīryātvā cāvasa tāṃ purīm |
tathā pitrā niyukto 'si vaśinā vadatāṃ vara ॥2-105-40॥
Translation
O best among speakers! Be composed, do not grieve; go and reside in that city (Ayodhya). For you have been appointed to this task by our self-controlled father.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे वक्ताओं में श्रेष्ठ (भरत)! तुम स्वस्थ (शांत/प्रकृतिस्थ) हो जाओ, शोक मत करो और उस पुरी (अयोध्या) में जाकर निवास (राज्य) करो। क्योंकि जितात्मा पिता ने तुम्हें इसी कार्य में नियुक्त किया है।
English Commentary
Rama pivots from philosophy to logistics. He outlines the immediate plan of action. The command is clear: Return to Ayodhya and rule. Rama addresses Bharata as 'Vadatam vara' (best among eloquent speakers), acknowledging his earlier persuasive arguments but overruling them with superior duty. The crucial point here is the legitimacy of the command. It comes from the 'Pitra' (father) who was 'Vashina' (in control of his faculties). Rama insists that the division of duties—Bharata to the kingdom, Rama to the forest—was the dying wish of their father, and honoring that will is the only way to honor his memory.

अब राम उपदेश समाप्त करके 'कार्य' (Action Item) पर आते हैं। वे भरत को स्पष्ट आदेश देते हैं: 1. स्वस्थो भव (शांत हो जाओ)। 2. मा शोची: (रोना बंद करो)। 3. पुरीं यात्वा आवस (अयोध्या जाओ और राज करो)। राम तर्क देते हैं कि यह उनका व्यक्तिगत आदेश नहीं, बल्कि 'पित्रा नियुक्तो' (पिता का आदेश) है। दशरथ 'वशिना' (जितेन्द्रिय/स्वतंत्र) थे और उन्होंने सोच-समझकर कैकेयी को वरदान दिया था। पिता की आज्ञा का पालन करना पुत्र का परम धर्म है। भरत को अयोध्या लौटना ही होगा क्योंकि यही पिता का वचन था।
