Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अभिषक्तस्त्वमस्माभिरयोध्यां पालने व्रज ।
विजित्य तरसा लोकान् मरुद्भिरिव वासव: ॥ ॥२-१०६-२७॥
Abhiṣiktastvamas mābhirayodhyāṃ pālane vraja । Vijitya tarasā lokān maradbhiriva vāsavaḥ ॥ ॥2-106-27॥
Translation
Once crowned by us, proceed to Ayodhya to protect it, just as Vasava (Indra) proceeds with the Maruts after conquering the worlds with his might.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हमारे द्वारा अभिषिक्त होकर आप अयोध्या पालन के लिए चलिए, जैसे इन्द्र (वासव) मरुद्गणों (देवताओं) के साथ लोकों को जीतकर (स्वर्ग) जाते हैं।
English Commentary
Using a simile from mythology, Bharata compares Rama’s return to Ayodhya to Indra (Vāsava) returning to his abode accompanied by the Maruts (storm gods). This imagery serves two purposes: it reinforces Rama's kingly glory and positions Bharata and the others as his loyal subordinates (Maruts), not competitors. The call to action is Ayodhyāṃ pālane vraja—'Go to Ayodhya for its protection.' Bharata consistently frames the return as a mission of protection rather than a resumption of luxury.

यहाँ राम की तुलना देवराज इन्द्र (वासव) से और भरत आदि की तुलना मरुद्गणों से की गई है। जैसे इन्द्र देवताओं से घिरे रहते हैं, वैसे ही राम भाइयों और प्रजा से घिरे होकर अयोध्या लौटें। 'पालने व्रज' (पालन के लिए चलो)—भरत बार-बार 'भोग' शब्द का प्रयोग न करके 'पालन' शब्द का प्रयोग कर रहे हैं, क्योंकि वे जानते हैं कि राम कर्तव्य से बंधते हैं, सुख से नहीं। 'तरसा' (बल/वेग से) शब्द राम के पराक्रम को दर्शाता है।
