अमृष्यमाण: पुनरुग्रतेजा निशम्य तन्नास्तिकवाक्यहेतुम् ।
अथाब्रवीत्तं नृपतेस्तनूजो विगर्हमाणो वचनानि तस्य ॥ ॥२-१०९-३०॥
amṛṣyamāṇaḥ punarugratejā niśamya tannāstikavākyahetum । athābravīttaṃ nṛpatestanūjo vigarhamāṇo vacanāni tasya ॥ ॥2-109-30॥
Translation
Then, unable to tolerate that reasoning based on atheistic views, the Prince of fierce splendor (Rama), censuring those words, spoke again to him.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, उस नास्तिकवाद के तर्क को सुनकर, उग्र तेज वाले नृपकुमार (राम) ने उसे सहन न करते हुए, उनके (जाबालि के) वचनों की निंदा करते हुए पुनः कहा।
English Commentary
This transitional verse marks a shift in Rama's tone from defensive to offensive. The descriptor ugrateja (fierce energy/splendor) indicates Rama's intense displeasure. While Rama is usually calm, the direct attack on the foundations of Dharma by Jabali’s atheistic arguments (nastika-vakya-hetum) provokes a fiery response. He is "unable to tolerate" (amrishyamanah) the propagation of nihilism. This verse sets the stage for the stern rebuke that follows, highlighting that for Rama, ideological corruption is more dangerous than physical danger, and it must be condemned forcefully by a righteous prince.
