निशाचराणि भूतानि गृहेषु गृहदेवताः ।
यानि चान्यानि भूतानि जानीयुर्भाषितं तव ॥ ॥२-११-१५॥
niśācarāṇi bhūtāनि gṛheṣu gṛhadevatāḥ । yāni cānyāni bhūtāni jānīyurbhāṣitaṃ tava ॥ ॥2-11-15॥
Translation
Let the night-wandering beings, the household deities in the homes, and whatever other beings exist, know your utterance.

रात में विचरण करने वाले प्राणी, घरों में रहने वाले गृहदेवता और जो अन्य प्राणी हैं, वे सब तुम्हारे वचनों को जानें।
English Commentary
Moving from the cosmic to the domestic and immediate, Kaikeyi invokes the Grihadevatas (household deities) and Nishacharas (night-wandering spirits). Since this conversation occurs at night within the private chambers, invoking the household gods makes the oath intimate and inescapable within his own home. She ensures that every entity, visible or invisible, from the stars down to the spirits in the room, is aware of Dasharatha's "bhashitam" (utterance), leaving him no room for denial or retraction.

ब्रह्मांडीय शक्तियों के बाद, कैकेयी अब घरेलू और अदृश्य शक्तियों की ओर मुड़ती है। 'गृहदेवताः' का उल्लेख करके वह इस शपथ को राजमहल की दीवारों और नितांत निजी स्थान के भीतर भी साक्षीबद्ध करती है। 'निशाचराणि' (रात में घूमने वाले) का उल्लेख इसलिए है क्योंकि यह संवाद रात्रि के समय हो रहा है। वह चाहती है कि जो भी अदृश्य शक्तियाँ उस समय वहां मौजूद हैं, वे सब राजा की प्रतिज्ञा को नोट कर लें। यह एक तरह का मनोवैज्ञानिक दबाव है कि राजा अपने निजी कक्ष में भी अपनी शपथ से मुक्त नहीं हैं।
