तत्र चापि मया देव यत्त्वं समभिरक्षितः ।
जाग्रत्या यतमानायास्ततो मे प्राददा वरौ ॥ ॥२-११-१९॥
tatra cāpi mayā deva yattvaṃ samabhirakṣitaḥ । jāgratyā yatamānāyāstato me prādadā varau ॥ ॥2-11-19॥
Translation
O Lord! Even there, it was I who protected you, keeping awake and striving [to save you]. Because of that, you granted me two boons.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे देव! उस समय (युद्ध में घायल और अचेत होने पर) मैंने ही जागते हुए और प्रयत्न करते हुए आपकी रक्षा की थी। उसी से प्रसन्न होकर आपने मुझे दो वर दिए थे।
English Commentary
Kaikeyi details her contribution to ensure the debt is acknowledged. She emphasizes her vigilance ("jagratya") and effort ("yatamanayah") in saving him when he was wounded and unconscious on the battlefield. She explicitly links these actions to the "varau" (two boons) he granted. By recounting the origin of the boons, she implies that denying them now would be an act of supreme ingratitude and a violation of a solemn royal pledge made in a moment of salvation.

कैकेयी विस्तार से दो बताती है कि उसने कैसे राजा की जान बचाई। 'जाग्रत्या' (जागते हुए) और 'यतमानायाः' (प्रयत्न करते हुए) शब्द बताते हैं कि जब राजा असहाय थे, तब कैकेयी ने एक सारथी और रक्षक की भूमिका निभाई थी। वह राजा को याद दिलाती है कि उन 'दो वरों' की उत्पत्ति राजा की खुशी और कृतज्ञता से हुई थी। वह यह स्थापित कर रही है कि ये वरदान कोई भीख नहीं, बल्कि उसकी सेवा का पुरस्कार हैं जो राजा ने स्वयं स्वेच्छा से दिए थे।
