अनरण्यान्महाबाहु: पृथू राजा बभूव ह ।
तस्मात् पृथोर्महाराजस्त्रिशङ्कुरुदपद्यत ।
स सत्यवचनाद्वीर: सशरीरो दिवङ्गत: ॥२-११०-११॥
Anaraṇyānmahābāhuḥ pṛthū rājā babhūva ha । Tasmāt pṛthormahārājastriśaṅkurudapadyata । Sa satyavacanādvīraḥ saśarīro divaṅgataḥ ॥2-110-11॥
Translation
From Anaranya, the mighty-armed Prithu became king. From Prithu, the great king Trishanku was born. That hero (Trishanku) went to heaven with his physical body due to the power of truth (of the sage/promise).
हिंदी अनुवाद
अनरण्य से महाबाहु 'पृथु' राजा हुए। उस पृथु से महाराज 'त्रिशंकु' उत्पन्न हुए। वह वीर (त्रिशंकु) सत्य वचन (महर्षि विश्वामित्र के प्रभाव/सत्य) के कारण सशरीर स्वर्ग को प्राप्त हुए।
English Commentary
The mention of Trishanku is pivotal. Famous for his desire to ascend to heaven in his mortal body, Trishanku was initially denied by Vasistha but supported by Sage Visvamitra. The phrase Satyavacanāt (due to the word of truth) likely refers to the power of Visvamitra’s vow to send him to heaven. Vasistha, despite his own past conflict with Trishanku, objectively narrates his ancestor's unique feat of ascending bodily (sasharīro). This highlights the extraordinary spiritual potency running through Rama's bloodline, capable of challenging even cosmic laws.

यहाँ त्रिशंकु का उल्लेख अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। त्रिशंकु सशरीर स्वर्ग जाना चाहते थे, जिसका वसिष्ठ जी ने विरोध किया था, किन्तु विश्वामित्र ने अपने तपोबल और सत्य-प्रतिज्ञा से उन्हें स्वर्ग भेज दिया (यद्यपि वे बीच में लटक गए और एक नया स्वर्ग बना)। यहाँ वसिष्ठ जी, जिनका त्रिशंकु से विवाद रहा था, बड़प्पन दिखाते हुए त्रिशंकु को 'वीर' और उनके स्वर्ग जाने को 'सत्यवचनात्' (सत्य के प्रभाव से) कहकर स्वीकार करते हैं। यह दर्शाता है कि यह वंश असंभव को भी संभव करने वाला है।
