विकुक्षेस्तु महातेजा बाण: पुत्र: प्रतापवान् ।
बाणस्य तु महाबाहुरनरण्यो महायशा: ॥२-११०-९॥
Vikukṣestu mahātejā bāṇaḥ putraḥ pratāpavān । Bāṇasya tu mahābāhuranaraṇyo mahāyaśāḥ ॥2-110-9॥
Translation
To Vikukshi was born the very radiant and powerful son Bana. And Bana's son was the mighty-armed and highly illustrious Anaranya.

विकुक्षि के पुत्र महातेजस्वी और प्रतापी 'बाण' हुए। और बाण के पुत्र महाबाहु और महायशस्वी 'अरण्य' (अनरण्य) हुए।
English Commentary
Here, the lineage proceeds to Bana and then to Anaranya. Anaranya is a particularly significant figure in Hindu mythology. His name implies one who has no enemies (or for whom no battle is too great). Legend states that Anaranya was a righteous king who, upon being defeated or challenged by Ravana in his early conquests, prophesied that a descendant of his line (Rama) would eventually destroy Ravana. By invoking Anaranya, Vasistha subtly connects the past glory of the dynasty to Rama’s future destiny as the slayer of Ravana.
