अन्तर्हितास्त्वृषिगणा: सिद्धाश्च परमर्षय: ।
तौ भ्रातरौ महात्मानौ महात्मानौ काकुत्स्थौ प्रशशंसिरे ॥ ॥२-११२-२॥
Antarhitāstvṛṣigaṇāḥ siddhāśca paramarṣayaḥ । Tau bhrātarau mahātmānau mahātmānau kākutsthau praśaśaṃsire ॥ ॥2-112-2॥
Translation
The hosts of Rishis, Siddhas, and great sages, remaining invisible, praised those two high-souled brothers of the Kakutstha lineage.

अदृश्य रूप में स्थित ऋषिगणों, सिद्धों और परमर्षियों ने उन दोनों महात्मा काकुत्स्थ (ककुत्स्थ कुल में उत्पन्न) भाइयों की प्रशंसा की।
English Commentary
This verse elevates the dialogue between Rama and Bharata from a mere familial dispute to a cosmic event witnessed by celestial beings. The use of the word antarhitāḥ (invisible) suggests that the sages and Siddhas were observing from the ethereal planes, moved by the unprecedented nature of this conflict. Usually, history witnesses brothers fighting to seize a throne; here, the scions of the Kakutstha lineage are fighting to renounce it in favor of the other. The repetition of the adjective mahātmānau (high-souled) emphasizes that both brothers are equal in their spiritual stature and moral integrity. The celestial praise validates that their conduct—Rama’s adherence to Truth and Bharata’s adherence to Devotion—has transcended human limitations and become a spectacle worthy of divine admiration.

यहाँ कवि वाल्मीकि एक अत्यंत दुर्लभ और दिव्य दृश्य का वर्णन करते हैं। सामान्यतः देवताओं और ऋषियों ने भाइयों के बीच राज्य के लिए युद्ध देखे हैं, जहाँ सत्ता का लोभ प्रधान होता है। किंतु चित्रकूट में, दो 'महात्मा' भाई—राम और भरत—त्याग की प्रतिस्पर्धा कर रहे हैं। आकाश में स्थित अदृश्य (अन्तर्हित) दिव्य दर्शक इस 'धर्म-युद्ध' को देखकर विस्मित हैं। वे दोनों भाइयों को 'काकुत्स्थौ' कहकर संबोधित करते हैं, जो उनके महान कुल की परंपरा का द्योतक है। ऋषियों की प्रशंसा का कारण यह है कि जहाँ राम पितृ-वचन और सत्य के पालन पर अडिग हैं, वहीं भरत भ्रातृ-प्रेम और विरक्ति की पराकाष्ठा प्रदर्शित कर रहे हैं। यह श्लोक स्पष्ट करता है कि यह संवाद केवल एक पारिवारिक चर्चा नहीं, बल्कि धर्म का एक ऐसा उच्चतम आदर्श है जिसे देवता भी नमन करते हैं।
