तमृषिं तु महात्मानमुक्तवाक्यं कृताञ्जलि: ।
आमतन्त्रयितुमारेभे चरणावुपगृह्य च ॥ ॥२-११३-१८॥
Tamṛṣiṃ tu mahātmānamuktavākyaṃ kṛtāñjaliḥ |
Āmantrayitumārebhe caraṇāvupagṛhya ca ॥2-113-18॥
Translation
After the high-souled sage had spoken these words, Bharata, with joined palms, touched his feet and began to seek his permission to depart.

ऋषि के वे वचन कहने के बाद, भरत ने हाथ जोड़कर और महात्मन ऋषि के चरणों को पकड़कर उनसे विदा लेने की अनुमति माँगी।
English Commentary
This verse marks the conclusion of the interaction with impeccable etiquette. Despite receiving such high praise from the sage, Bharata remains grounded. He responds with 'kṛtāñjaliḥ' (folded hands) and by touching the sage's feet, showing reverence. The term 'āmantrayitum' means to formally take leave. This concludes the episode at Bharadwaja's ashram. Bharata is now ready to resume his journey to Ayodhya, fortified not by the king he sought, but by the sandals he received and the sage's validation of his character.

यह श्लोक शिष्टाचार और प्रस्थान की विधि का वर्णन करता है। यद्यपि ऋषि ने भरत की इतनी प्रशंसा की, भरत अहंकार से नहीं भरे। उन्होंने 'कृताञ्जलि:' (हाथ जोड़कर) और 'चरणों को पकड़कर' अपनी कृतज्ञता व्यक्त की। 'आमन्त्रयितुम्' का अर्थ है विदा माँगना या जाने की अनुमति लेना। भरद्वाज के आश्रम में यह संवाद यहीं समाप्त होता है। भरत अब अयोध्या की ओर कूच करने के लिए तैयार हैं, अपने हृदय में राम की पादुकाओं और ऋषि के आशीर्वाद का बल लेकर।
