शृङ्गिबेरपुराद्भूयस्त्वयोध्यां संददर्श ह ॥ ॥२-११३-२३॥
Śṛṅgiberapurādbhūyastvayodhyāṃ saṃdadarśa ha ॥2-113-23॥
Translation
Moving further from Shringaverapura, he eventually caught sight of Ayodhya.

शृंगवेरपुर से आगे चलकर उन्होंने अयोध्या नगरी के दर्शन किए।
English Commentary
This is a concise transitional verse bridging the journey from the border to the capital. 'Bhūyaḥ' implies 'again' or 'further on'. After traveling the distance from Shringaverapura, Bharata finally sees the skyline of Ayodhya. This visual contact triggers a wave of grief. Valmiki skips the details of the road to focus on the psychological impact of seeing the city. The sight of home, usually a source of joy, is now a reminder of the emptiness that awaits Bharata.

यह एक संक्रमणकालीन (transitional) श्लोक है जो यात्रा के समय को संक्षेप में प्रस्तुत करता है। शृंगवेरपुर से अयोध्या की दूरी तय करने के बाद, जब नगर की रूपरेखा दिखाई दी, तो वह क्षण भरत के लिए अत्यंत कठिन था। 'भूय:' का अर्थ है 'पुनः' या 'आगे'। वनवास के वातावरण से निकलकर अब भरत को वास्तविकता का सामना करना है—एक ऐसी नगरी जो सूनी है। वाल्मीकि जी यहाँ यात्रा के विवरण को छोड़कर सीधे उस भावनात्मक आघात पर आते हैं जो अयोध्या को देखते ही भरत को लगा।
