क्षिप्रं संयोजयित्वा तु राघवस्य पुन: स्वयम् ।
चरणौ तौ तु रामस्य द्रक्ष्यामि सहपादुकौ ॥२-११५-१८॥
kṣipraṃ saṃyojayitvā tu rāghavasya punaḥ svayam |
caraṇau tau tu rāmasya drakṣyāmi sahapādukau ॥2-115-18॥
Translation
"Having personally and quickly reunited these sandals with Raghava's feet, I shall behold those feet of Rama along with the sandals."
हिंदी अनुवाद
(राम के लौटने पर) इन पादुकाओं को पुनः राघव के चरणों में स्वयं शीघ्रता से संयोजित करके, मैं राम के उन चरणों को पादुकाओं सहित देखूँगा।
English Commentary
Bharata visualizes the moment of restitution. His ultimate goal is to personally ("svayam") place these sandals back onto Rama's feet. The imagery of seeing Rama's feet "with the sandals" ("sahapadukau") signifies the restoration of order. Currently, the sandals are separated from the feet (King separated from Kingdom); their reunion will mark the end of the crisis. Bharata lives for this specific future event, finding purpose in the eventual restoration of the status quo.

भरत का एकमात्र लक्ष्य उस क्षण को देखना है जब ये पादुकाएं वापस राम के चरणों में होंगी। 'संयोजयित्वा' (जोड़कर/पहनाकर) शब्द बताता है कि भरत स्वयं अपने हाथों से राम को ये पादुकाएं पहनाएंगे। यह उनकी सेवा-भावना का शिखर है। वर्तमान में पादुकाएं राज्य का प्रतीक हैं, किन्तु भरत के लिए उनकी सार्थकता तभी पूर्ण होगी जब वे पुनः राम के चरणों का स्पर्श करेंगी। यह श्लोक भविष्य के मिलन की आशा और भरत की व्याकुलता को चित्रित करता है।
