आरुह्य च रथं शीघ्रं शत्रुघ्नभरतावुभौ।
ययतु: परमप्रीतौ वृतौ मन्त्रिपुरोहितै: ॥२-११५-९॥
āruhya ca rathaṃ śīghraṃ śatrughnabharatāvubhau |
yayatuḥ paramaprītau vṛtau mantripurohitaiḥ ॥2-115-9॥
Translation
Having quickly ascended the chariot, both Shatrughna and Bharata, surrounded by ministers and priests, departed with great joy.

रथ पर शीघ्र चढ़कर, मंत्रियों और पुरोहितों से घिरे हुए, परम प्रसन्न शत्रुघ्न और भरत दोनों वहां से चल पड़े।
English Commentary
The adverb "shighram" (quickly) reiterates the urgency to leave the palace. The brothers are "paramapritau" (supremely pleased) because they are establishing a regime of truth. The presence of the ministers and priests surrounding them ("vritau") is symbolically significant: it indicates that the administration is following the Regent. The seat of power is physically shifting from the opulent Ayodhya to the ascetic Nandigrama, legitimizing the latter as the temporary capital of the Kosala kingdom.

'शीघ्रं' (शीघ्रता से) शब्द पुन: उनकी नन्दिग्राम जाने की उत्कंठा को दर्शाता है। दोनों भाई 'परमप्रीतौ' (अत्यंत प्रसन्न) हैं। यह यात्रा किसी वनवास की तरह दुखदाई नहीं, बल्कि एक पवित्र मिशन की तरह है। मंत्रियों और पुरोहितों का उनके साथ चलना यह सिद्ध करता है कि यद्यपि राजा (भरत/राम) राजधानी में नहीं हैं, परन्तु 'राजसत्ता' (The State) वहीं स्थानांतरित हो रही है जहाँ भरत हैं। नन्दिग्राम अब सत्ता का नया, आध्यात्मिक केंद्र बनने जा रहा था।
