उपपन्नं मनोज्ञं च वचनं तव मैथिलि ।
प्रीता चास्म्युचितं किं ते करवाणि ब्रवीहि मे ॥ ॥२-११८-१५॥
Upapannaṃ manojñaṃ ca vacanaṃ tava maithili । Prītā cāsmyucitaṃ kiṃ te karavāṇi bravīhi me ॥ ॥2-118-15॥
Translation
"O Maithili! Your speech is reasonable and pleasing to the mind. I am very pleased with you. Tell me, what appropriate service shall I do for you?"
हिंदी अनुवाद
"हे मैथिली! तुम्हारा वचन अत्यंत युक्तियुक्त (तर्कसंगत) और मन को प्रिय लगने वाला है। मैं तुमसे बहुत प्रसन्न हूँ। बताओ, मैं तुम्हारे लिए क्या उचित (प्रिय) कार्य करूँ?"
English Commentary
Anasuya validates Sita’s response as both Upapanna (logical/appropriate according to Dharma) and Manojna (pleasing to the heart). It is rare to find speech that is both truthful and sweet, and Anasuya recognizes this quality in Sita. Pleased (Prita), she offers a boon. The phrase 'Tell me what I shall do for you' indicates Anasuya's readiness to use her ascetic merit to benefit Sita, acknowledging Sita's hardships in the forest.

अनसूया सीता के उत्तर से पूर्णतः संतुष्ट हैं। 'उपपन्नं' का अर्थ है जो धर्म और नीति के अनुसार सही हो, और 'मनोज्ञं' का अर्थ है जो सुनने में मधुर हो। सीता की बातों में सत्य और मिठास दोनों का संतुलन था। अनसूया एक सिद्ध तपस्विनी हैं, उनका प्रसन्न होना सामान्य बात नहीं है। वे सीता से पूछती हैं कि मैं तुम्हारे लिए क्या करूँ ('किं ते करवाणि')। यह एक बड़प्पन का भाव है जहाँ एक समर्थ तपस्विनी एक वनवासी राजकुमारी की सहायता या इच्छापूर्ति करना चाहती है।
