Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तस्यास्तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा विस्मिता मन्दविस्मया ।
कृतमित्यब्रवीत्सीता तपोबलसमन्विताम् ॥ ॥२-११८-१६॥
Tasyāstadvacanaṃ śrutvā vismitā mandavismayā । Kṛtamityabravītsītā tapobalasamanvitām ॥ ॥2-118-16॥
Translation
Hearing her words, Sita was surprised and, smiling gently, said to that ascetic lady endowed with the power of penance, "It is done (I am already satisfied by your grace)."

उनके (अनसूया के) वचन सुनकर सीता चकित हुईं और मंद-मंद मुस्कुराते हुए, तपोबल से संपन्न उन तपस्विनी से बोलीं—"सब कुछ हो गया (अर्थात आपकी कृपा ही पर्याप्त है)।"
English Commentary
Sita’s response defines her lack of greed (Alobha). Instead of asking for weapons, protection, or comfort in the forest, she simply says Kritam—literally 'It is done,' implying 'I am fulfilled by your blessings alone.' She addresses Anasuya as Tapobalasamanvitam (one possessed of the power of penance), acknowledging that Anasuya could give anything, yet Sita chooses to ask for nothing. Her gentle smile (Mandavismaya) reflects her grace and contentment with whatever life has offered her.

सीता का उत्तर उनके त्याग और संतोष को दर्शाता है। जब अनसूया ने वरदान मांगने को कहा, तो सीता ने कुछ नहीं मांगा। 'कृतम्' (सब किया हुआ है) कहने का अर्थ है कि आपके दर्शन और स्नेह से ही मेरी सब इच्छाएं पूर्ण हो गईं। सीता 'विस्मिता' (चकित) इसलिए थीं क्योंकि उन्हें उम्मीद नहीं थी कि उनके सामान्य धर्म-पालन के लिए उन्हें पुरस्कृत किया जाएगा। 'मन्दविस्मया' (हल्की मुस्कान) उनकी शालीनता को दिखाती है। वे लोभी नहीं हैं, यही उनकी महानता है।
