मया दत्तमिदं सीते तव गात्राणि शोभयेत् ।
अनुरूपमसंक्लिष्टं नित्यमेव भविष्यति ॥ ॥२-११८-१९॥
Mayā dattamidaṃ sīte tava gātrāṇi śobhayet । Anurūpamasaṅkliṣṭaṃ nityameva bhaviṣyati ॥ ॥2-118-19॥
Translation
"O Sita! May this given by me adorn your limbs. It is worthy of you, and it will remain forever fresh and unsoiled."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"हे सीते! मेरे द्वारा दिया गया यह (उपहार) तुम्हारे अंगों की शोभा बढ़ाए। यह तुम्हारे योग्य है (अनुरूपम्) और यह नित्य अमलान (कभी मैला या पुराना न होने वाला) रहेगा।"
English Commentary
The miraculous nature of the gifts is revealed. They are Asanklishtam—imperishable, unfading, and stain-resistant. In the rugged environment of the forest, keeping clothes clean and flowers fresh is impossible. Anasuya solves this logistical problem spiritually. By ensuring the items remain Nityam (eternal/fresh), she relieves Sita of the physical burden of maintenance, allowing her to focus on her service to Rama and her own protection.

इन उपहारों की विशेषता यहाँ बताई गई है। वन की धूल और मिट्टी में सामान्य वस्त्र और मालाएं जल्दी खराब हो जाती हैं। लेकिन अनसूया का वरदान है कि ये वस्तुएं 'असंक्लिष्टं' (कभी मलिन/गंदी न होने वाली) और 'नित्य' (सदा नई) रहेंगी। इससे सीता को वन में वस्त्र धोने या आभूषणों की देखभाल करने की चिंता से मुक्ति मिल गई। यह एक व्यावहारिक वरदान है जो सीता की दिनचर्या को सुगम बनाएगा।
