आतरिक्षे च वागुक्ता प्रति मा ऽमानुषी किल ।
एवमेतन्नरपते धर्मेण तनया तव ॥२-११८-३१॥
antarikṣe ca vāguktā prati mā 'mānuṣī kila । evametannarapate dharmeṇa tanayā tava ॥2-118-31॥
Translation
Just then, a divine, non-human voice spoke from the sky regarding me: "So be it, O King! By righteousness, she is indeed your daughter."
हिंदी अनुवाद
उसी समय आकाश में मेरे विषय में एक अमानवीय (दिव्य) वाणी गूंजी—"हे राजन! यह सत्य है, धर्मपूर्वक यह तुम्हारी ही पुत्री है।"
English Commentary
This verse adds supernatural validation to the adoption. An Amanushi (non-human/divine) voice from the sky confirms Janaka's declaration. In the Vedic context, such an Akashvani serves to remove any doubt regarding the legitimacy or purity of the child's lineage. The phrase "Dharmena tanaya" (daughter by Dharma/Righteousness) implies that caring for her is his spiritual duty and destiny. It confirms that Sita was meant to be raised by the pious Janaka.

जनक के निर्णय पर मुहर लगाते हुए आकाशवाणी हुई। 'अमानुषी वाक्' (मानवेतर वाणी) का अर्थ है देवताओं या दैवयोग द्वारा पुष्टि। सामाजिक या धार्मिक दृष्टि से किसी अज्ञात कुल के शिशु को अपनाना राजा के लिए प्रश्नचिह्न खड़ा कर सकता था, परन्तु आकाशवाणी ने इसे 'धर्मेण' (धर्म के अनुसार) बताकर वैध कर दिया। यह पुष्टि करता है कि सीता का जनक के पास आना कोई संयोग नहीं, बल्कि एक पूर्व-नियोजित दैवीय विधान था।
