Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
इत्युक्तस्तेन विप्रेण तद्धनु: समुपानयत् ।
निमेषान्तरमात्रेण तदानम्य स वीर्य्यवान् ॥२-११८-४७॥
ityuktasteena vipreṇa taddhanuḥ samupānayat । nimeṣāntaramātreṇa tadānamya sa vīryyavān ॥2-118-47॥
Translation
Being thus spoken to by the Brahmin, the King had the bow brought forward. Within the mere blinking of an eye, that valorous one (Rama) bent it.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस ब्राह्मण (विश्वामित्र) के कहने पर राजा ने वह धनुष मंगवाया। वीर्यवान (राम) ने पलक झपकने मात्र के समय में उस धनुष को झुका दिया।
English Commentary
The contrast between the previous failures and Rama's success is defined by speed and ease. Following the sage's prompt, the bow is produced. Rama, described as Viryavan (full of valor), bends the massive weapon in Nimeshantaramatrena—the time it takes to blink. This emphasizes that for the Divine, the impossible task was effortless. The commentary highlights the sheer awe of this moment; what was immovable for the world was like a toy for Rama.

यहाँ घटना की गति (speed) पर ध्यान दें। अन्य राजा जहाँ धनुष को हिला भी नहीं सके थे, वहीं राम ने उसे 'निमेषान्तरमात्रेण' (एक निमेष या पलक झपकने के समय में) झुका दिया ('आनम्य')। यह राम के अलौकिक बल का प्रमाण है। 'वीर्यवान' शब्द राम के लिए प्रयुक्त है। सीता जी इस वर्णन में उस क्षण के आश्चर्य और गौरव को फिर से जी रही हैं। कार्य की सहजता ही राम की महानता है।
