ज्यां समारोप्य झटिति पूरयामास वीर्यवत् ॥२-११८-४८॥
jyāṃ samāropya jhaṭiti pūrayāmāsa vīryavat ॥2-118-48॥
Translation
Having instantly strung the bowstring, he drew it (pulled it to full capacity) with great force.

उन्होंने तुरंत उस पर प्रत्यंचा (डोरी) चढ़ाई और पूरे वेग (बल) से उसे खींच दिया।
English Commentary
This line describes the completion of the physical act. Rama didn't just string it; he pulled it (Purayamasa) to its full extent. The adverb Jhatiti (instantly) reiterates the speed. The action was fluid: lifting, stringing, and drawing the bow happened in one swift, continuous motion, displaying mastery over the divine weapon.

यह श्लोक पिछले श्लोक की निरंतरता में है (प्रायः इसे अर्द्ध-श्लोक या क्षेपक के रूप में देखा जाता है, पर कथा प्रवाह में यह महत्वपूर्ण है)। 'झटिति' (तुरंत/तेजी से) शब्द राम की फुर्ती को दर्शाता है। 'पूरयामास' का अर्थ है धनुष को कान तक खींचना (आकर्ण खींचना)। यह क्रिया पूर्णता की सूचक है—धनुष न केवल उठाया गया, न केवल डोरी चढ़ी, बल्कि उसे उसकी अधिकतम सीमा तक खींचा गया।
