प्रहृष्टस्त्वभवद्रामो लक्ष्मणश्च महारथ: ।
मैथिल्या: सत्क्रियां दृष्ट्वा मानुषेषु सुदुर्लभाम् ॥२-११९-१४॥
Prahṛṣṭastvabhavadrāmo lakṣmaṇaśca mahārathaḥ । Maithilyāḥ satkriyāṃ dṛṣṭvā mānuṣeṣu sudurlabhām ॥ ॥2-119-14॥
Translation
Rama and the great warrior Lakshmana became delighted upon seeing the honor bestowed on Maithili, which is very rare among humans.

मनुष्यों के लिए अत्यंत दुर्लभ उस सत्कार को मैथिली (सीता) के प्रति हुआ देखकर, श्री राम और महारथी लक्ष्मण बहुत प्रसन्न हुए।
English Commentary
The shared joy of Rama and Lakshmana is highlighted here. The phrase "mānuṣeṣu sudurlabhām" (very rare among humans) underscores the supernatural nature of Anasuya's gifts—garments and garlands that never fade. Rama and Lakshmana, referred to as "mahāratha" (great warrior), recognize that this is not just a gift but a divine endorsement of Sita's virtue. Lakshmana’s inclusion in this joy is significant; as Sita's guardian and brother-in-law, seeing her honored by the highest spiritual authorities gives him immense satisfaction and relief regarding her well-being in the forest.
