परित्यजेयुः पितरो हि पुत्रान् ।
भार्याः पतींश्चापि कृतानुरागाः ।
कृत्स्नम् हि सर्वम् कुपितम् जगत्स्या ।
द्दृष्ट्वा रामम् विवासितम् ॥२-१२-१०४॥
Parityajeyuḥ pitaro hi putrān |
Bhāryāḥ patīṃścāpi kṛtānurāgāḥ |
Kṛtsnam hi sarvam kupitam jagatsyād |
Dṛṣṭvā rāmam vivāsitam ॥2-12-104॥
Translation
Upon seeing Rama exiled, fathers may abandon their sons, and even devoted wives may abandon their husbands. Indeed, the entire world will become angry.

राम को वनवास दिया गया देखकर, पिता अपने पुत्रों को त्याग देंगे और पति से प्रेम करने वाली पत्नियां पतियों को त्याग देंगी। निश्चय ही यह सारा जगत कुपित हो उठेगा।
English Commentary
Dasharatha predicts a total collapse of social order and moral fabric. He suggests that the exile of a perfect son like Rama is such a violation of Dharma that it will set a terrible precedent. If Dasharatha exiles Rama, fathers might arbitrarily abandon sons, and even 'kṛtānurāgāḥ' (loving/devoted) wives might leave their husbands in protest or confusion. The phrase 'Kṛtsnam hi sarvam kupitam jagat' indicates that the entire world will act in unison against this injustice. It emphasizes that this is not just a family dispute, but a chaotic event that disturbs the peace of the whole world.

दशरथ का मानना है कि राम का वनवास एक ऐसी अप्राकृतिक और अधार्मिक घटना है कि इससे सामाजिक और पारिवारिक मर्यादाएं टूट सकती हैं। 'कृत्स्नम् हि सर्वम् कुपितम् जगत्'—अर्थात पूरा संसार राजा के प्रति क्रोधित हो जाएगा। दशरथ यह कहना चाह रहे हैं कि राम के प्रति अन्याय देखकर लोगों का रिश्तों पर से विश्वास उठ जाएगा। यदि एक पिता राम जैसे पुत्र को त्याग सकता है, तो समाज में पिता-पुत्र और पति-पत्नी के संबंधों में विकृति आ जाएगी। यह श्लोक राम की लोकप्रियता और उनके वनवास से उत्पन्न होने वाले ब्रह्मांडीय क्षोभ (cosmic outrage) को दर्शाता है।
