इक्ष्वाकुकुलमक्षोभ्यमाकुलम् पालयिष्यसि ।
प्रियम् चेद्भरतस्यैतद्रामप्रव्राजनम् भवेत् ॥२-१२-९३॥
Ikṣvākukulamakṣobhyamākulam pālayiṣyasi । Priyam cedbharatasyaitadrāmapravrājanam bhavet ॥2-12-93॥
Translation
You will rule over the Ikshvaku race—once unshakable, now agitated and disturbed. If this exile of Rama is indeed pleasing to Bharata...
हिंदी अनुवाद
इक्ष्वाकु कुल जो अब तक अक्षोभ्य (अचल/सुदृढ़) था, उसे तुम व्याकुल (अस्त-व्यस्त) करके पालन करोगी। यदि राम का वनवास भरत को प्रिय हुआ (तो यह कुल नष्ट हो जाएगा)।
English Commentary
Dasharatha contrasts the state of the kingdom before and after Kaikeyi's intervention. The Ikshvaku line was Akshobhya (unshakable/steady), but she will now rule it in a state of Akulam (turmoil/agitation). The second line reveals Dasharatha's desperate paranoia; he hypothesizes about Bharata's reaction. He implies that if Bharata actually finds pleasure in Rama's exile (Priyam... bhavet), then the moral foundation of the family is completely rotted. This is a heavy statement, as Dasharatha usually trusts Bharata, but grief is clouding his judgment.

इक्ष्वाकु वंश अपनी स्थिरता के लिए प्रसिद्ध था (अक्षोभ्य), लेकिन कैकेयी ने उसे 'आकुल' (अशांत/व्याकुल) कर दिया है। दशरथ कहते हैं कि अब तुम इस टूटे हुए राज्य पर शासन करो। दूसरी पंक्ति में दशरथ का एक गहरा डर सामने आता है—वे क्षण भर के लिए भरत पर भी संदेह करते हैं (या चेतावनी देते हैं)। वे कहते हैं कि यदि भरत इस षड्यंत्र में शामिल है या उसे यह वनवास 'प्रिय' लगता है, तो यह विनाश पूर्ण है। यह पिता की हताशा है जो अपने धर्मात्मा पुत्र (भरत) के चरित्र पर भी संदेह करने को विवश हो गए हैं।
