तदन्तःपुरमासाद्य व्यतिचक्राम तं जनम् ॥ ॥२-१४-३१॥
Tadantaḥpuramāsādya vyaticakrāma taṃ janam ॥ ॥2-14-31॥
Translation
Having reached that inner palace precinct, he (Vashistha) passed through that crowd of people.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस अन्तःपुर (राजमहल के भीतरी द्वार) के पास पहुँचकर, उन्होंने (वशिष्ठ ने) उस जनसमूह को पार किया।
English Commentary
This brief verse highlights the immense stature and authority of Sage Vashistha. Despite the dense crowd described in the previous verses, Vashistha vyaticakrāma (passed through/crossed) them effortlessly. This implies that the crowd immediately parted to make way for the Royal Preceptor (Kula-Guru), showcasing the discipline and reverence the subjects held for him. In a packed palace courtyard where movement would be difficult for anyone else, Vashistha moves unimpeded. This physical action symbolizes his spiritual authority, which transcends the chaos of the mundane world and grants him direct access to the center of political power, King Dasharatha.

यह एक छोटा लेकिन महत्वपूर्ण श्लोक है जो महर्षि वशिष्ठ के प्रभाव और स्थिति को दर्शाता है। इतनी भारी भीड़ होने के बावजूद, वशिष्ठ जी 'व्यतिचक्राम' (पार कर गए) अर्थात भीड़ ने उन्हें तुरंत रास्ता दे दिया। यह राजगुरु के प्रति जनता के अनुशासन और सम्मान का परिचायक है। भीड़भाड़ वाले राजमहल में, जहाँ आम लोगों का प्रवेश वर्जित या कठिन होता है, वशिष्ठ जी बिना किसी बाधा के आगे बढ़ते हैं। यह उनकी आध्यात्मिक सत्ता को रेखांकित करता है जो राजसत्ता से भी ऊपर मानी जाती थी। वे सीधे राजा दशरथ के पास जाने के लिए बढ़ रहे हैं ताकि अनुष्ठान की पूर्णता की सूचना दे सकें।
