आशीर्भिर्गुणयुक्ताभिरभितुष्टाव राघवम् ।
सोमसूर्यौ च काकुत्स्थ शिववैश्रवणावपि ॥२-१५-२२॥
Āśīrbhirguṇayuktābhirabhituṣṭāva Rāghavam । Somasūryau ca Kākutstha Śivavaiśravaṇāvapi ॥ ॥2-15-22॥
Translation
With benedictions full of praise and virtue, he extolled the descendant of Raghu (Dasharatha). He invoked the blessings of the Moon (Soma), the Sun (Surya), Shiva, and Kubera (Vaishravana).

सुमन्त्र ने गुणयुक्त आशीर्वादों के द्वारा रघुकुल नन्दन राजा दशरथ की स्तुति की। उन्होंने (राजा की तुलना) चंद्रमा, सूर्य, शिव और कुबेर से करते हुए उनका आह्वान किया।
English Commentary
Sumantra invokes specific deities that represent the four pillars of ideal kingship. Soma (the Moon) symbolizes gentleness and pleasing nature; Surya (the Sun) represents brilliance and authority; Shiva represents auspiciousness and destruction of evil; and Vaishravana (Kubera) represents wealth. By invoking these gods, Sumantra is ritually blessing the King to possess these attributes for the upcoming coronation day. The use of patronymics like 'Raghav' and 'Kakutstha' connects Dasharatha to his glorious ancestry. However, this creates a poignant contrast. Sumantra is treating this as a glorious morning for a powerful monarch, invoking solar deities for a King who is currently eclipsed by grief. The blessings emphasize stability and power, while the reality inside the curtain is one of instability and collapse.
