हन्त शीघ्रम् इतः गत्वा द्रक्ष्यामि च मही पतिः ।
सह त्वम् परिवारेण सुखम् आस्स्व रमस्य च ॥ ॥२-१६-२०॥
Hanta śīghram itaḥ gatvā drakṣyāmi ca mahī patiḥ । Saha tvam parivāreṇa sukham āssva ramasya ca ॥ ॥2-16-20॥
Translation
Therefore, departing quickly from here, I shall see the Lord of the Earth (the King). You, meanwhile, stay here happily with your attendants and enjoy yourself.

अतः अब मैं यहाँ से शीघ्र जाकर महाराज के दर्शन करूँगा। तुम अपनी सखियों और परिवार के साथ यहाँ सुखपूर्वक रहो और मन बहलाओ।
English Commentary
The word Hanta here is an interjection expressing joy and eagerness. This verse illustrates Rama's affection and sense of duty toward Sita. Before leaving for a potentially long royal engagement, he ensures her emotional well-being, instructing her to remain happy (sukham āssva) and enjoy the company of her attendants. It reflects the demeanor of an ideal husband who wishes to leave his wife in a state of peace and cheerfulness. Rama anticipates that the rituals might take time, so he encourages her to find joy within her inner circle while he attends to state duties.
