Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
यथा पश्याम निर्यान्तम् रामम् राज्ये प्रतिष्ठितम् ।
ततः हि नप्रियतरम् न अन्यत् किम्चित् भविष्यति ॥२-१७-११॥
Yathā paśyāma niryāntam rāmam rājye pratiṣṭhitam । Tataḥ hi na priyataram na anyat kiñcit bhaviṣyati ॥ ॥2-17-11॥
Translation
"To see Rama going forth and established in the kingdom—truly, nothing else will be dearer to us than that."

"जैसे ही हम राम को शोभायात्रा में निकलते हुए और राज्य (सिंहासन) पर प्रतिष्ठित होते हुए देखेंगे, उससे बढ़कर हमारे लिए और कुछ भी प्रिय नहीं होगा।"
English Commentary
The citizens express an intense longing to see Rama rājye pratiṣṭhitam (established in the kingdom). For the people of Ayodhya, the coronation is not merely a political transition but the supreme celebration of their lives. The phrase "nothing else will be dearer" proves that they have dissolved their individual desires into the collective joy of seeing Rama ascend. It illustrates a profound collective consciousness where the entire city shares a singular vision. To them, Rama's elevation is synonymous with their own prosperity and joy; they see their highest good reflected in his success.

यहाँ 'राज्ये प्रतिष्ठितम्' (राज्य पर प्रतिष्ठित) देखने की लालसा व्यक्त की गई है। अयोध्या की प्रजा के लिए राम का अभिषेक केवल एक राजनीतिक घटना नहीं है, बल्कि उनके जीवन का सबसे बड़ा उत्सव है। 'न प्रियतरम्' (इससे प्रिय और कुछ नहीं) वाक्यांश यह सिद्ध करता है कि प्रजा ने अपनी व्यक्तिगत इच्छाओं को राष्ट्र के हित और राम के प्रेम में विलीन कर दिया है। यह सामूहिक चेतना (collective consciousness) का उदाहरण है जहाँ पूरा नगर एक ही स्वप्न देख रहा है। उनकी दृष्टि में राम का उत्कर्ष ही उनका अपना उत्कर्ष है।
