Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
यथा अभिषेको रामस्य राज्येन अमित तेजसः ।
एताः च अन्याः च सुहृदाम् उदासीनः कथाः शुभाः ॥२-१७-१२॥
Yathā abhiṣeko rāmasya rājyena amita tejasaḥ । Etāḥ ca anyāḥ ca suhṛdām udāsīnaḥ kathāḥ śubhāḥ ॥ ॥2-17-12॥
Translation
Such were the auspicious conversations regarding the consecration of Rama, of immeasurable splendor, taking place among friends and even among those who were neutral.

अमित तेजस्वी राम के राज्याभिषेक के संबंध में, उनके मित्रों और यहाँ तक कि उदासीन (तटस्थ) लोगों के बीच भी ऐसी ही और अन्य शुभ कथाएं (चर्चाएं) हो रही थीं।
English Commentary
The universality of Rama’s appeal is highlighted here. While friends naturally praise, it is extraordinary that even udāsīna (neutral people) are engaged in joyful conversations about him. Valmiki uses the epithet amita tejasaḥ (of immeasurable splendor/energy), indicating that Rama’s influence transcended political factions. When a leader is the embodiment of Dharma, they command respect even from those who are usually indifferent. The verse suggests that the entire atmosphere of Ayodhya was saturated with positive vibrations, uniting diverse groups of people in a single, auspicious topic of discussion.

राम के व्यक्तित्व की व्यापकता यहाँ स्पष्ट होती है। मित्र तो प्रशंसा करते ही हैं, लेकिन 'उदासीन' (जो न मित्र हैं न शत्रु) लोगों का भी राम की चर्चा में मगन होना असाधारण है। वाल्मीकि जी 'अमित तेजसः' (असीमित तेज वाले) विशेषण का प्रयोग करते हैं, जो बताता है कि राम का प्रभाव केवल उनके समर्थकों तक सीमित नहीं था, बल्कि सर्वव्यापी था। जब कोई व्यक्ति धर्म का साक्षात स्वरूप होता है, तो वह तटस्थ लोगों के भी आकर्षण और श्रद्धा का केंद्र बन जाता है। अयोध्या के वातावरण में केवल एक ही ध्वनि थी—राम के अभिषेक की मंगल कामना।
