Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
एतया तत्त्वया बुद्ध्या सम्स्तभ्यात्मानमात्मना ।
व्याहते अपि अभिषेके मे परितापो न विद्यते ॥२-२२-२५॥
etayā tattvayā buddhyā samstabhyātmānamātmanā । vyāhate api abhiṣeke me paritāpo na vidyate ॥2-22-25॥
Translation
Having stabilized my mind by myself through this true understanding (of the nature of Destiny), I feel no grief even though my coronation has been obstructed.
हिंदी अनुवाद
इसी तत्त्व-बुद्धि (दैव के स्वरूप को समझने वाली बुद्धि) के द्वारा अपनी आत्मा को स्वयं स्थिर करके, अभिषेक के रुक जाने पर भी मुझे कोई संताप (दुःख) नहीं हो रहा है।
English Commentary
This verse is the essence and the fruit of Rama's discourse. "Tattvaya buddhi" refers to the true understanding that all is subject to Destiny. Through this wisdom, Rama has stabilized his own self. He demonstrates to Lakshmana the practical utility of philosophy: mental peace in the face of adversity. That Rama feels no grief despite losing the kingdom is proof of his spiritual elevation. He is not merely preaching stoicism; he is embodying it, showing that true strength lies in mastering one's reaction to external events.

यह श्लोक श्रीराम के उपदेश का सार और उसका फल है। "तत्त्वया बुद्ध्या" का अर्थ है यथार्थ ज्ञान—यह ज्ञान कि सब कुछ दैव अधीन है। इस ज्ञान के कारण श्रीराम ने अपने मन को वश में कर लिया है। वे लक्ष्मण को दिखाते हैं कि ज्ञान का वास्तविक उपयोग क्या है: विपरीत परिस्थितियों में मानसिक शांति। राज्य छिन जाने पर भी श्रीराम का दुखी न होना उनकी आध्यात्मिक उच्चता का प्रमाण है। वे केवल उपदेश नहीं दे रहे, बल्कि उसे अपने आचरण में उतार कर दिखा रहे हैं।
