Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सौमित्रे यो अभिषेक अर्थे मम सम्भार सम्भ्रमः ।
अभिषेक निवृत्ति अर्थे सो अस्तु सम्भार सम्भ्रमः ॥ ॥२-२२-५॥
Saumitre yo abhiṣeka arthe mama sambhāra sambhramaḥ । Abhiṣeka nivṛtti arthe so astu sambhāra sambhramaḥ ॥ ॥2-22-5॥
Translation
O Sumitra's son, let the same zeal and flurry of activity that was shown in gathering materials for my coronation now be directed toward stopping the coronation.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे सौमित्र (लक्ष्मण)! मेरे अभिषेक के लिए सामग्री जुटाने में जो उत्साह और भाग-दौड़ (सम्भ्रम) दिखाई गई थी, वही उत्साह और तत्परता अब अभिषेक को रोकने (निवृत्ति) के लिए होनी चाहिए।
English Commentary
Rama draws a parallel between the energy of creation and the energy of dissolution. Sambhāra sambhramaḥ refers to the busy excitement of collecting essentials. Rama asks Lakshmana to channel that same kinetic energy into nivṛtti (cessation/withdrawal). Usually, dismantling a celebration is done with heavy hearts and sluggish hands. Rama, however, wants the reversal of the coronation to be executed with the same proactive efficiency as its preparation. This shows that Rama treats both kingship and exile as merely different duties requiring the same level of professional dedication and enthusiasm.

यह श्लोक राम की मानसिक स्थिरता (Equanimity) का अद्भुत उदाहरण है। सामान्यतः मनुष्य उत्सव की तैयारी में उत्साह दिखाता है और दुख के समय शिथिल हो जाता है। परन्तु राम कहते हैं कि 'सम्भ्रमः' (उत्साह/वेग) समान होना चाहिए। जैसे राज्य मिलने की खुशी में तैयारी की गई थी, वैसे ही राज्य त्यागने में भी उतनी ही फुर्ती होनी चाहिए। यह लक्ष्मण के लिए एक कड़ा संदेश है कि वे रोने या विरोध करने में समय व्यर्थ न करें, बल्कि वनगमन की प्रक्रिया को तेज करें। राम चाहते हैं कि उनका त्याग भी उतना ही भव्य और उत्साहपूर्ण हो जितना उनका राज्याभिषेक होने वाला था।
