लोक पालाः समस्ताः ते न अद्य राम अभिषेचनम् ।
न च क्Rत्स्नाः त्रयो लोका विहन्युः किम् पुनः पिता ॥२-२३-२१॥
loka pālāḥ samastāḥ te na adya rāma abhiṣecanam |
na ca kṛtsnāḥ trayo lokā vihanyuḥ kim punaḥ pitā ॥2-23-21॥
Translation
O Rama! Not even all the guardians of the world (Lokapalas) nor the combined three worlds can obstruct your coronation today; what then to speak of our father?
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राम! आज समस्त लोकपाल अथवा तीनों लोक भी मिलकर आपके राज्याभिषेक में बाधा नहीं डाल सकते, फिर पिता (दशरथ) की तो बात ही क्या है?
English Commentary
In this verse, Lakshmana’s indignation and self-confidence reach a fever pitch. His devotion to Sri Rama and belief in his own martial prowess are so absolute that he is willing to challenge the supreme powers of the cosmos. By mentioning the 'Lokapalas' (Guardians of the Directions like Indra, Varuna, Yama), Lakshmana asserts that even divine intervention cannot stop Rama’s rightful coronation, rendering King Dasharatha’s opposition insignificant by comparison. This statement underscores Lakshmana’s philosophy of Paurusha (human effort/valor), where he believes that no obstacle can stand against righteous action and strength. He aims to convince Rama that the throne is his birthright, and Lakshmana is prepared to fight the entire universe to secure it for him.

इस श्लोक में लक्ष्मण जी का क्रोध और आत्मविश्वास अपने चरम पर है। वे श्रीराम के प्रति अपनी भक्ति और अपने बाहुबल पर इतना विश्वास करते हैं कि वे ब्रह्मांड की सर्वोच्च शक्तियों को भी चुनौती देने को तैयार हैं। 'लोकपाल' का अर्थ है दिशाओं के रक्षक (जैसे इंद्र, वरुण, यम आदि)। लक्ष्मण यह स्पष्ट करना चाहते हैं कि जब धर्म और सत्य श्रीराम के पक्ष में है, और लक्ष्मण जैसा रक्षक उनके साथ है, तो राजा दशरथ का विरोध नगण्य है। यह कथन लक्ष्मण के 'पुरुषार्थ' के सिद्धांत को दर्शाता है, जहाँ वे मानते हैं कि कर्म और शक्ति के आगे कोई बाधा टिक नहीं सकती। वे श्रीराम को यह विश्वास दिलाना चाहते हैं कि राज्याभिषेक उनका अधिकार है और इसे पाने के लिए यदि देवताओं से भी लड़ना पड़े, तो वे पीछे नहीं हटेंगे।
