अनुरूपाव् इमौ बाहू राम कर्म करिष्यतः ।
अभिषेचन विघ्नस्य कर्तृउणाम् ते निवारणे ॥२-२३-३९॥
anurūpāv imau bāhū rāma karma kariṣyataḥ |
abhiṣecana vighnasya kartṛuṇām te nivāraṇe ॥2-23-39॥
Translation
O Rama! These two well-proportioned arms of mine shall today perform the task of restraining those who create obstacles in your coronation.

हे राम! मेरे ये दोनों अनुरूप (सुडौल/शक्तिशाली) हाथ आज वह काम करेंगे जिससे आपके राज्याभिषेक में विघ्न डालने वालों को रोका जा सके।
English Commentary
Continuing from the previous verse, Lakshmana defines the true utility of his arms. Anurupau implies his arms are fit for the task—strong, capable, and worthy of a warrior. His karma (action/duty) is clear: to eliminate those obstructing the coronation. Lakshmana views Rama's coronation as a sacred Yajna (sacrifice) and casts himself as its guardian. Just as demons would disturb sacrifices and warriors would be called to destroy them, Lakshmana identifies the obstructors (Kaikeyi/Dasharatha) as impediments that must be physically removed to ensure the 'ritual' of coronation completes.

पिछले श्लोक से बात को जोड़ते हुए, लक्ष्मण कहते हैं कि उनकी भुजाओं का असली उपयोग अब होगा। 'अनुरूपौ' का अर्थ है कि उनकी भुजाएं वैसी ही हैं जैसा एक वीर की होनी चाहिए (बलशाली और समर्थ)। लक्ष्मण का 'कर्म' (कार्य) स्पष्ट है: विघ्न संतोषियों का नाश करना। वे राम के राज्याभिषेक को एक यज्ञ मानते हैं और स्वयं को उस यज्ञ का रक्षक। जैसे राक्षस यज्ञ में बाधा डालते थे और ऋषि उनकी रक्षा के लिए योद्धाओं को बुलाते थे, वैसे ही लक्ष्मण यहाँ कैकेयी और दशरथ को 'विघ्न' मानते हुए उन्हें हटाने का संकल्प ले रहे हैं।
