पुनस्त्वयि निवृत्ते तु भविष्यामि गतक्लमा ।
प्रत्यागते महाभागे कृतार्थे चरितव्रते ॥२-२४-३३॥
punastvayi nivṛtte tu bhaviṣyāmi gataklamā |
pratyāgate mahābhāge kṛtārthe caritavrate ॥2-24-33॥
Translation
Only when you have returned, O illustrious one, having fulfilled your purpose and completed your vows, will I be free from sorrow.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जब तुम अपना व्रत पूरा करके ('चरितव्रते') और कृतार्थ होकर वापस लौटोगे, तब तुम्हारे लौटने पर ही मैं 'गतक्लमा' (दुखरहित/शांत) हो सकूँगी, हे महाभाग!
English Commentary
Kausalya projects her mind to the future reunion to find solace. She declares that she will become 'gataklama' (free from fatigue/sorrow) only upon his return. The adjectives she uses for Rama are prescriptive blessings: 'caritavrate' (one who has successfully completed his vows) and 'kritarthe' (one who has accomplished his object). She is not just wishing for his return, but for his successful return after fulfilling his Dharma. This shows her support for his mission; she wants him to complete the task he has undertaken, maintaining the family honor, before coming back to her.

कौशल्याऽपुनः मिलन की आशा को व्यक्त करती हैं। वह कहती हैं कि उनका दुख ('क्लम') तभी समाप्त होगा जब राम वापस आएंगे। यहाँ राम के लिए विशेषण अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण हैं—'चरितव्रते' (जिसने अपना व्रत/प्रतिज्ञा पूरी कर ली हो) और 'कृतार्थे' (सफल/उद्देश्य पूर्ण करने वाला)। कौशल्या यह आशीर्वाद दे रही हैं कि राम न केवल लौटें, बल्कि अपनी प्रतिज्ञा पूरी करके सम्मान के साथ लौटें। यह दर्शाता है कि एक माँ के रूप में उन्हें राम की सफलता और यश की भी उतनी ही चिंता है जितनी उनके जीवन की। वह अपने पुत्र को एक भगोड़े के रूप में नहीं, बल्कि एक विजयी तपस्वी के रूप में लौटता देखना चाहती हैं।
