Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
द्यौरन्तरिक्षम् पृथिवी नद्यस्सर्वास्तथैव च ।
नक्षत्राणि च सर्वाणि ग्रहाः च सहदेवताः ॥२-२५-१४॥
dyaurantarikṣam pṛthivī nadyassarvāstathaiva ca |
nakṣatrāṇi ca sarvāṇi grahāḥ ca sahadevatāḥ ॥2-25-14॥
Translation
May the Sky, Space, Earth, and all the rivers; and all the stars and planets along with their presiding deities (protect you).

द्युलोक (स्वर्ग), अंतरिक्ष (आकाश), पृथ्वी और सभी नदियाँ; तथा सभी नक्षत्र और ग्रह अपने-अपने देवताओं सहित (तुम्हारी रक्षा करें)।
English Commentary
This verse represents the climax of the cosmic invocation. Kausalya calls upon the three worlds: 'Dyau' (Heaven), 'Antariksham' (Atmosphere/Space), and 'Prithvi' (Earth). She then addresses the celestial bodies—'nakshatras' (constellations) and 'grahas' (planets). Given the belief in planetary influence on human destiny, she prays for astrological alignment. By adding 'sahadevatah' (with their deities), she acknowledges the spiritual forces behind these physical bodies. Kausalya has effectively constructed a universal dome of protection around Rama, leaving no dimension—terrestrial, atmospheric, or celestial—unguarded.

यह 'स्वस्तिवाचन' का चरमोत्कर्ष है। कौशल्या अब पूरे ब्रह्मांड—'द्यौ' (स्वर्ग/ऊपरी आकाश), 'अंतरिक्ष' (मध्य आकाश), और 'पृथिवी' (धरती)—का आह्वान करती हैं। वे 'नक्षत्रों' और 'ग्रहों' (ज्योतिषीय पिंडों) को भी शामिल करती हैं। भारतीय ज्योतिष में ग्रहों की चाल मनुष्य के भाग्य को प्रभावित करती है। कौशल्या चाहती हैं कि राम की कुंडली के ग्रह और नक्षत्र वनवास के दौरान अनुकूल स्थिति में रहें। 'सहदेवताः' (देवताओं सहित) का अर्थ है कि वे भौतिक पिंडों के साथ-साथ उनकी अधिष्ठात्री शक्तियों को भी नमन कर रही हैं। अब सृष्टि का कोई भी कण राम की रक्षा-परिधि से बाहर नहीं है।
