ये च शेषाः सुराः ते त्वाम् रक्षन्तु वन वासिनम् ।
इति माल्यैः सुर गणान् गन्धैः च अपि यशस्विनी ॥ ॥२-२५-२६॥
Ye ca śeṣāḥ surāḥ te tvām rakṣantu vana vāsinam । Iti mālyaiḥ sura gaṇān gandhaiḥ ca api yaśasvinī ॥ ॥2-25-26॥
Translation
May all the remaining gods (not explicitly named) also protect you while you dwell in the forest. Saying this, the illustrious Kausalya worshipped the hosts of gods with garlands and scents.

(जिनका नाम नहीं लिया गया) वे शेष सभी देवता भी वन में रहने वाले तुम्हारी रक्षा करें। ऐसा कहकर उस यशस्विनी (कौशल्या) ने मालाओं और गंध (चंदन आदि) से देवताओं की पूजा की।
English Commentary
This verse concludes Kausalya's benediction. Using the phrase Ye ca sheshah surah (And whichever gods remain), she creates a final, all-encompassing clause to ensure no divine power is offended by omission. She reaffirms Rama's status as a Vana-vasinam (forest dweller). The verse then shifts to action: the "illustrious" (Yashasvini) Kausalya seals her verbal prayers with ritual worship, offering garlands and sandalwood paste to the hosts of gods. This final act grounds her emotional outpouring in traditional Vedic ritual, trying to physically manifest the protection she has so fervently prayed for.

यह कौशल्या की प्रार्थना का समापन श्लोक है। 'ये च शेषाः सुराः' कहकर वह उन सभी देवताओं को शामिल कर लेती हैं जिनका नाम विस्मृतिवश छूट गया हो। 'वन वासिनम्' शब्द पुनः राम की नई पहचान को रेखांकित करता है। प्रार्थना समाप्त करने के बाद, यशस्विनी कौशल्या क्रियान्वित होती हैं—वह केवल बोलती नहीं हैं, बल्कि मालाओं (माल्यैः) और सुगंधित द्रव्यों (गंधैः) से देवताओं का विधिवत पूजन करती हैं। यह श्लोक वात्सल्य और कर्मकांड का संगम है; माँ ने पहले वाणी से आशीर्वाद दिया और अब पूजा के माध्यम से उसे सिद्ध कर रही हैं।
