मम्गLआनि महाबाहो दिशन्तु शुभवङ्गLआः ।
इति पुत्रस्य शेषाश्च कृत्वा शिरसि भामिनी ॥ ॥२-२५-३७॥
Mamgalāni mahābāho diśantu śubhavaṅgalāḥ । Iti putrasya śeṣāśca kṛtvā śirasi bhāminī ॥ ॥2-25-37॥
Translation
"O Mighty-armed one! May auspicious entities bestow auspiciousness upon you." Saying this, the glorious lady placed the remnants of the worship (Akshata/flowers) on her son's head.

"हे महाबाहु! मंगलकारी पदार्थ तुम्हें मंगल प्रदान करें।" ऐसा कहकर उस भामिनी (तेजस्वी कौशल्या) ने पूजा के अवशिष्ट अक्षत/पुष्प (शेष) पुत्र के सिर पर रखे।
English Commentary
The verbal benediction culminates in a physical act. Kausalya addresses Rama as Mahabaho (Mighty-armed), reinforcing his warrior nature. She then places the Shesha (sacred remnants of the puja, likely rice and flowers) on his head. In Hindu tradition, this act transfers the grace of the deity invoked in the fire directly to the devotee. It is a tender, tactile moment of motherly blessing. The term Bhamini usually implies a spirited or beautiful woman; here it underscores her dignified presence as she performs this solemn farewell rite.

आशीर्वाद देने की मौखिक प्रक्रिया समाप्त कर कौशल्या अब भौतिक स्पर्श द्वारा आशीर्वाद देती हैं। 'महाबाहु' संबोधन राम के क्षत्रिय बल को याद दिलाता है। 'शेषाश्च कृत्वा शिरसि'—पूजा के बाद बचे हुए फूल और चावल (अक्षत) को सिर पर रखना हिंदू संस्कृति में आशीर्वाद का सर्वोच्च रूप है। यह ईश्वरीय ऊर्जा को सीधे प्राप्तकर्ता में स्थानांतरित करने का प्रतीक है। 'भामिनी' शब्द का अर्थ है क्रोध या तेज रखने वाली स्त्री, लेकिन यहाँ यह उनके प्रभावशाली व्यक्तित्व और मातृत्व की गरिमा को दर्शाता है।
