Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अवदत् पुत्र सिद्ध अर्थो गच्च राम यथा सुखम् ।
अरोगम् सर्व सिद्ध अर्थम् अयोध्याम् पुनर् आगतम् ॥ ॥२-२५-४१॥
Avadat putra siddha artho gacca rāma yathā sukham । Arogam sarva siddha artham ayodhyām punar āgatam ॥ ॥2-25-41॥
Translation
She said, "O Son, Rama! Go happily with your purpose achieved. May I see you return to Ayodhya disease-free and having accomplished all your goals."

उन्होंने कहा—"हे पुत्र राम! तुम सफल मनोरथ होकर सुखपूर्वक जाओ। मैं तुम्हें निरोग और सभी उद्देश्यों में सफल होकर पुनः अयोध्या लौटा हुआ देखूं।"
English Commentary
Kausalya’s blessing focuses on three pillars: Success (Siddhartha), Health (Arogam), and Return (Punar agatam). By wishing him to be Siddhartha (one whose goal is accomplished), she validates his exile not as a punishment, but as a mission. The prayer for him to remain disease-free highlights the practical dangers of primitive forest life. Most importantly, she projects a future where he returns to Ayodhya, effectively making a pact with destiny that she will survive the separation to see that day.

माता का आशीर्वाद अब भविष्य की ओर केंद्रित है। 'सिद्ध अर्थो' (उद्देश्य में सफल) और 'अरोगम्' (रोग रहित) दो मुख्य कामनाएं हैं। वन में स्वास्थ्य ही सबसे बड़ा धन है, इसलिए निरोगी रहने का आशीर्वाद दिया गया है। 'पुनर् आगतम्' (पुनः लौटते हुए) शब्द में कौशल्या की जिजीविषा छिपी है—वह केवल इसलिए जीवित रहेंगी ताकि वह राम को लौटते हुए देख सकें। यह आशीर्वाद राम को एक मिशन देता है: जाना है, सफल होना है, और सुरक्षित लौटना है।
