Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तथा तु देव्या स कृत प्रदक्षिणो ।
निपीड्य मातुः चरणौ पुनः पुनः ।
जगाम सीता निलयम् महा यशाः ।
स राघवः प्रज्वलितः स्वया श्रिया ॥ ॥२-२५-४७॥
Tathā tu devyā sa kṛta pradakṣiṇo । Nipīḍya mātuḥ caraṇau punaḥ punaḥ । Jagāma sītā nilayam mahā yaśāḥ । Sa rāghavaḥ prajvalitaḥ svayā śriyā ॥ ॥2-25-47॥
Translation
Having been circumambulated by the Queen, the highly illustrious Rama pressed his mother's feet again and again. Blazing with his own radiance, he then went to Sita's abode.
हिंदी अनुवाद
देवी (कौशल्या) द्वारा प्रदक्षिणा किए जाने पर, महायशस्वी राम ने माता के चरणों को बार-बार दबाकर (प्रणाम कर), अपनी श्री (तेज) से प्रज्वलित होते हुए सीता के भवन की ओर प्रस्थान किया।
English Commentary
Rama reciprocates his mother's emotional intensity with profound humility. While she hugs him, he focuses on her feet (Charanau), pressing them repeatedly (Nipidya) in reverence. This grounds the emotion in Dharma and respect. The verse notes that Rama is now Prajvalitah (blazing/glowing) with his own Shriya (radiance). The mother's blessing acts as a spiritual armor, enhancing his natural aura. Empowered by this matriarchal sanction, he heads to the next, perhaps more delicate, task: facing Sita.

यहाँ राम की प्रतिक्रिया दर्शनीय है। माता ने उन्हें गले लगाया, लेकिन राम मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम हैं—वह माता के 'चरणों' को बार-बार स्पर्श करते हैं (निपीड्य चरणौ)। यह उनका विनय और कृतज्ञता है। आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करने के बाद राम 'प्रज्वलितः स्वया श्रिया' (अपनी कांति से जलते हुए/चमकते हुए) प्रतीत हो रहे हैं। माता के आशीर्वाद ने उनके आत्मविश्वास और तेज को और बढ़ा दिया है। अब वह अपने जीवन के अगले कठिन कार्य—पत्नी सीता को सूचित करने—के लिए 'सीता निलयम्' की ओर बढ़ते हैं।
