व्यजनाभ्याम् च मुख्याभ्याम् शत पत्र निभ ईक्षणम् ।
चन्द्र हम्स प्रकाशाभ्याम् वीज्यते न तव आननम् ॥२-२६-११॥
Vyajanābhyām ca mukhyābhyām śatapatranibhekṣaṇam |
Candrahamsaprakāśābhyām vījyate na tavānanam ॥2-26-11॥
Translation
"O one with eyes like lotus petals! Your face is not being fanned by the two excellent fly-whisks, which shine like the moon and swans."

"कमल के समान नेत्रों वाले हे नाथ! चंद्रमा और हंस के समान उज्ज्वल दो मुख्य चवरों (व्यजनों) से आपके मुख पर हवा नहीं की जा रही है।"
English Commentary
Continuing her observation of missing regalia, Sita points out the absence of the 'vyajana' (fly-whisks). In royal protocol, a king is flanked by attendants waving these white whisks. Sita uses beautiful metaphors, comparing the whiteness of the whisks to the moon and swans, and addressing Rama affectionately as one with lotus-like eyes ('śatapatranibhekṣaṇam'). This is not merely a complaint about luxury; it is a factual observation of protocol. The absence of these attendants confirms to her that the ceremonial procession has been disrupted or abandoned.

छत्र के बाद सीता 'चवर' (Fly-whisks) की अनुपस्थिति को रेखांकित करती हैं। राजा के दोनों ओर खड़े होकर चवर डुलाना राजसी ठाठ का हिस्सा है। सीता राम को 'शत पत्र निभ ईक्षणम्' (सौ पंखुड़ियों वाले कमल के समान नेत्र वाले) कहती हैं, जो उनके सौंदर्य और कोमलता को दर्शाता है। चवरों की तुलना 'चन्द्र' और 'हम्स' (हंस) की सफेदी से की गई है। सीता का प्रश्न यह है कि यदि अभिषेक की प्रक्रिया चल रही है या पूर्ण हो चुकी है, तो ये राजकीय सेवाएं नदारद क्यों हैं? यह दृश्य-वर्णन उस सूनेपन को बढ़ाता है जो राम के अकेले आने से उत्पन्न हुआ है।
