शुश्रूषमाणा ते नित्यम् नियता ब्रह्म चारिणी ।
सह रम्स्ये त्वया वीर वनेषु मधु गन्धिषु ॥२-२७-१२॥
śuśrūṣamāṇā te nityam niyatā brahma cāriṇī । saha ramsye tvayā vīra vaneṣu madhu gandhiṣu ॥2-27-12॥
Translation
Serving you daily, disciplined and observing the vow of celibacy (simple living), I will delight with you, O Hero, in the forests fragrant with honey.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे वीर! मैं नित्य आपकी सेवा करती हुई, नियमों का पालन करती हुई और ब्रह्मचर्य व्रत धारण कर, आपके साथ मधु की सुगंध वाले वनों में विहार (आनंद) करूँगी।
English Commentary
Sita outlines her vision of their life in exile. It is a blend of asceticism and companionship. She promises service (shushrushamana) and strict discipline (niyata brahmacharini), assuring Rama she won't be a distraction or demand luxuries. However, she also reframes the exile as a romantic retreat. She uses the word ramsye (I will delight/enjoy) and describes the forest as madhu gandhishu (smelling of honey/sweet fragrance). She envisions the forest not as a prison, but as a place of natural beauty where she can be with her husband without the interruptions of court life. She is essentially telling him that with discipline and love, the wilderness will become a paradise.

सीता यहाँ वनवास की अपनी दिनचर्या स्पष्ट करती हैं। यह केवल कष्ट नहीं, बल्कि एक तपस्या और प्रेम-यात्रा होगी। 'शुश्रूषमाणा' (सेवा करती हुई) उनका मुख्य उद्देश्य है। 'ब्रह्मचारिणी' शब्द महत्वपूर्ण है—यह दर्शाता है कि वे वन में भोग-विलास के लिए नहीं, बल्कि संयमित ऋषियों जैसा जीवन जीने जा रही हैं। फिर भी, वह कहती हैं 'सह रम्स्ये' (मैं साथ में रमण करूँगी/आनंद लूँगी)। सीता वन के प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य ('मधु गन्धिषु' - शहद/पुष्पों की सुगंध से युक्त) को सकारात्मक दृष्टि से देख रही हैं। वह वनवास को एक ऐसे अवसर में बदल रही हैं जहाँ राजकाज की बाधाओं के बिना वह राम के साथ एकांत समय बिता सकेंगी। यह उनके सकारात्मक दृष्टिकोण (optimism) को दर्शाता है।
