सह त्वया गमिश्यामि वनमद्य न संशयः ।
नाहम् शक्या महाभाग निवर्तयितु मुद्यता ॥२-२७-१४॥
saha tvayā gamiṣyāmi vanamadya na saṃśayaḥ । nāham śakyā mahābhāga nivartayitu mudyatā ॥2-27-14॥
Translation
O Illustrious One, without a doubt, I will go to the forest with you today itself. I am fully prepared/resolved, and I cannot be dissuaded or turned back from this decision.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे महाभाग! इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है कि मैं आज ही आपके साथ वन चलूँगी। मैं (वन जाने के लिए) पूरी तरह तैयार (उद्यत) हूँ और मुझे इस निश्चय से पीछे हटाना संभव नहीं है।
English Commentary
Sita addresses Rama as Mahabhaga (O illustrious/fortunate one), implying that despite the tragedy, his destiny is great, and she intends to be part of it. The use of adya (today) emphasizes urgency; she is not discussing a hypothetical future but immediate action. By stating she cannot be nivartayitum (turned back), she signals the end of the negotiation phase. She presents her accompaniment as a fait accompli. This verse highlights Sita’s unyielding will; she transforms from a supplicant asking for permission into a determined partner asserting her place by his side, making it clear that leaving her behind is simply not an option.

यहाँ सीता जी 'महाभाग' (महान भाग्य वाले) शब्द का प्रयोग करती हैं, जो एक विडंबना (irony) भी हो सकती है और सम्मान भी। वह राम को यह अहसास दिला रही हैं कि उनका भाग्य वन में ही है। 'अद्य' (आज) शब्द उनकी तत्परता को दिखाता है; वह कल या भविष्य की बात नहीं कर रही हैं, वह उसी क्षण तैयार हैं। 'न शक्या निवर्तयितुम्' (लौटाना संभव नहीं) कहकर सीता ने यह स्पष्ट कर दिया है कि तर्क-वितर्क का समय समाप्त हो चुका है। यह एक क्षत्राणी का दृढ़ संकल्प है, जो अब किसी भी आदेश या विनती से बदलने वाला नहीं है। वह राम को सूचित कर रही हैं कि उनका निर्णय अंतिम है।
